Just My Type - Christmas Cards

I'm pleased to share with you my first greeting card range - Just My Type... and to kick it off here's the christmas range. I've always had a love for typography, since my graphic design degree and then from my first job, working alongside a great typographer.

I really enjoyed designing these cards, picking the christmas songs was the hardest decision! I hope you like them. Please get in touch if you would like to order any... alternatively they are for sale in Daisydown Crafts, Whitchurch, Hampshire - my very first stockists!!

Handmade cards

Thought I'd share with you a few of my handmade cards..! I made these years ago but thinking of making a new batch soon after getting inspired at Handmade Winchester today! I might apply for a stall next year.

Projects - The Hepatitis C Trust

About 18 months ago I started working with The Hepatitis C Trust on some design projects. I've been lucky enough to work on a variety of projects for them from silent auctions to christmas parties. I've also learnt a lot about Hepatitis C - for more information on the virus click on the link above.

Most recently I've designed some christmas invites and menus which are available to download from the website with useful information and recipes to hold your own Great British C Party! Check out the video of Boy George's Christmas party with food by celeb chef Gizzi Erskine.

#adventdoodle

#adventdoodle is here! All you have to do is doodle one thing a day in December up until Christmas Day... and you will have created your very own, very special and personalised advent calendar. This is for everyone, young, old, designers, complete beginners and people who really can't draw (I always love those kind of drawings best!). There's a template you can use below but I'd encourage you to use whatever is to hand - napkins, newspapers, cereal boxes - doodle wherever and with whatever - pencil, pen, chalk, crayon, lipstick! Include the number of the day if you want. Your doodles can be tiny or massive, just go for it and have fun.

Most importantly we all want to see your doodles so make sure you Facebook, tweet, instagram and send me any images you are particularly proud of. I'll be posting some up through-out December and then putting the best (and worst!) together to create an ultimate doodled calendar.  #adventdoodle or send me images to hello@fayebrowndesigns.com

So who's in? please share and re-tweet any posts to spread the word #adventdoodle... Christmas is coming!!

Click and download this template. Otherwise use whatever you can get your hands on! have fun!

Tigerprint competition

I've been working away from home for the last few days so it was lovely to come home to a nice tweet about making the Top 16 in the hand drawn typography competition! I've done a few Tigerprint Design competitions in the past but only entered 1 or 2 designs. The maximum is 5. I love hand drawn typography so I really went to town on this one and entered 5. I thought it would be fun to show you all my entries...

FayeBrownDesigns.com is live

My new website is live and kicking! This website focuses on my print work from branding - surface pattern - wedding invitations. New projects will be added regularly. I owe a massive thanks to my husband Simon Brown who built the site for me. I think I might have been an awkward customer... Trip to the local indian restaurant might be in order to say thank you!

Hope you all like the website and the work. Please get in touch with any commissions or licensing enquires.
